      First three are shots of a thick client application which concatenates multiple .pdf files to compile a Summary of Benfits document for each specific insurance group. The second is a desktop application which connects to a SQL Server 2005 database and adds/changes the insurance plan coverage areas.

      First two are desktop apps. Second two shots are screen captures from a live Oracle 9i database performance measuring tool.  The last two illustrate the performance increase realized by the database. The data layer was comprised of XML webservices calling Oracle 9i stored procedures.

Provider Treatment Review Desktop Client

    The Provider Treatment Review Application consists of a Windows CE Pocket PC application and  a desktop application which allows ValueOptions auditors to visit clients to conduct treatment audits.
    The desktop application is comprised of multiple COM+ components, an Oracle 8i database backend and several Crystal Reports.  The desktop client contains; 11,500 lines of Visual Basic 6.0 code,  18 forms, and three 3rd. party controls.

Authorization Letter Application

    The Authorization letter Application is a program in which I've enhanced, wrote several installations for, and maintained.  This application prints out about 3 million authorization letters per year.  The application is written in Visual Basic and contains 14 forms, multiple modules, and about 35,000 lines of code.  Over the years this program has been enhanced to include functionality to send letters to an IBM OnDemand repository.

MIS Purchase Order System

    This application is the primary application of the IT purchasing department.  I developed the reporting COM+ object in Visual Basic, report parameters front-end in Visual Basic, as well as the 8 Crystal Reports.

Crystal Reports Automation Applets 

    These are two applets that I designed to automate the process of "Database Verification" and "Formula  replacement" for Crystal Reports.   Both applets open multiple crystal reports and perform operations without user interaction.  These programs were a great help when changing many of the over 1200 Crystal reports that are used company wide with the authorization letter application.

Anti-Submarine Warfare Mission Plotting Software Applications 

    This suite of applications take data from NAVAL messages, inserts it into a database, and then can be plotted in ArcView.  The suite of applications relies upon a set of functions that generate ArcView Avenue scripts.  All of those geometric functions were written into Visual Basic 6.0 from formulae.

Amazon Seller Application 

    I designed this application to help with the listing of books on Amazon.com.  This was my first application written with VB.net.  It has some unique functionality including:

• Direct interface with a barcode scanner to read in ISBN's

• Update a MS-SQL server database with the latest prices from Amazon.com

• A wireless listener which listens for an incoming e-mail containing an ISBN.  Once it receives that message it looks up the price of the book and shoots out the message to any email client including a SMS enabled cell phone.
